Registration
- The Registration of students with various examination bodies will be the responsibility of the Administrator.
- The Administrator will announce the Registration Dates for Membership/ Examination at least 3 months before the Deadline wherever possible.
- The Information should be pasted on the Notice Board and a copy of the same shall be passed to all Supervisors for Studies.
- The Supervisor for Studies shall be responsible for getting the forms etc. completed and advice the students on the necessary fees to be paid.
- The students should be advised to pay the fees directly to the Examination bodies or pay the fees at the College reception and obtain a receipt against payment.
- The Supervisor of Studies should collect the completed forms etc. with reference of payment and deposit with the Administration at least 15 days before the Deadline.
- The Administrator after checking all the forms should deposit with the appropriate Examination Bodies.
Information on Examination
- The Administrator is responsible for providing all the Information regarding Timetable of examinations etc.
- The Administrator shall co-ordinate with the Examination bodies and finalise the Timetable wherever necessary.
- The Timetable should be pasted on the Notice board at least 3 months prior to the Examination wherever possible.
- A copy of the same should be passed to all Supervisor of Studies.
Timetable Variation
- The published Timetable of the Awarding Bodies must be strictly followed.
- Timetable variations are not permitted where there is a clash between papers of different Awarding Bodies in the same subject or any other.
- Timetable variations are not permitted where a timetabled examination clashes with work experience, a school function or closure, participation in sporting events below international level, or holidays.
Procedures after Examination
- At the conclusion of the examination all the question papers and answer sheets will be collected by the invigilator. The Invigilator must not discuss with any candidates the answer or any other detail relating to that test.
- All completed answer sheets (together with all unused/used papers) must be sealed in the appropriate form and passed on to the Supervisor of examinations (Administrator).
- The Supervisor of Examinations after collecting the answer sheets should re- seal them as desired by the examination body and despatch to the appropriate address.
- A proper record of the despatches should be made and stored for any future reference.
Payment and Refund Policy
Overseas students are required to pay the full course fees for their first year to reserve a place while they are still overseas. An amount of GBP150 of the course fees paid is a non-refundable/non-transferable deposit. Once a place is reserved, your admission is kept open for as long as you require and the fees can be used if you need to keep re-applying for an entry clearance to the UK or if your circumstances change and you wish to delay your traveling to the UK. The fee paid by the students is to be adjusted towards the tuition fee only; it doesn’t cover the registration, membership, and examination fee.
Tuition fee is payable in Pound Sterling by International Bank Draft made payable only to “ACADEMIC COLLEGE OF LONDON”
Refunds:
A minimum of six (6) weeks is needed for the processing qualified refunds. In the event of a valid refund claim a refund cannot be claimed if the student is issued a visa on the college. The college shall not refund any amount paid to the consultants for their services or any money paid to a third party. The college can only refund the amount paid directly to the college subject to deductions.
Valid refund claims:
Students requiring a student visa to enter or remain in the UK may claim a refund of the tuition fee paid (less administrative charge of GBP150 only if their visa application has been refused and the college informed of this prior to the commencement of the course. A copy of the refusal letter from the British Embassy or High Commission, copies of the passport and all the original documentation received from the college must accompany the application for refund.
Non-refunds:
Fees are not refundable after the commencement of the course or if the student stops attending or leaves the course before its completion or is suspended by the college owing to non-attendance, misconducts etc. Fees are not refundable if, student obtains the visa on ACL programme, enters United Kingdom, and cancels his/her admission. This is to discourage the students who intend to work rather study; in such cases college will inform the immigration authorities. Fees are not refundable if a student chooses to cancel the admission and NOT enter the United Kingdom after obtaining the visa through ACL.
