English Language Courses
The English language is today an essential requirement in the international business world. For overseas students desirous of studying and working in the UK or in the international marketplace, proficiency in the English language is a primary requirement. Recognising this need, Preston International College runs English language courses for all levels - beginners, intermediate and advanced level. Many students benefit from the resources of the English language teaching at the College. Some of the students do full-time courses while others who are already attending a fulltime course enrol for part-time English language courses to improve and enhance their English language skills.
The English language programme at Academic College of London  is designed to help prepare the student to meet these challenges by:

• developing confidence in the use of existing English language skills


• improving these skills, especially in the use of English for academic purposes


• familiarising with the methods of study and assessment used in the UK Universities


• focusing on the four key language skill areas: speaking, listening, reading and writing


• address the deficiency if any which the international student may have in adequacy of the English language required for studying in his/her selected programme


• discovering more about UK and the British way of life. After the completion of the intermediate and advanced English courses, students will be qualified to sit the English language examinations held by the various bodies e.g. Cambridge, LCCI, Pitman, TOEFL, RSA, IELTS and ESOL.
