PURPOSE AND PRINCIPLES
- The College is committed to enabling all learners to achieve to their full potential
- The College is committed to raising levels of achievement at programme, school and college level year on year
- The College is committed to informing relevant stakeholders of the recorded levels of achievement by honest and clear reporting to appropriate Directors and Course Leaders.
- Reporting will comply to formats consistent with the requirements of the DFES and the relevant bodies – All present and future accreditations.
- The College is committed to building a ladder of opportunities, so that achievement at one level will lead to ongoing participation and achievement

PURPOSE AND PRINCIPLES
- Learners will be advised to enrol on programmes at a level which should enable a successful outcome
- Learners and their stakeholders will receive regular reports on their progress and corrective action taken as and when appropriate.
- The College will examine its achievement statistics against national and its own internal benchmarks, to inform continuous improvement
- The College will ensure that all procedures and data relating to learner achievement is processed in a secure, timely and accurate manner
- The College will ensure that learners and stakeholders are informed of achieved outcomes in a secure, timely and accurate manner
- The College will ensure that learners are prepared for progression to the next level by developing the skills necessary for continued achievement
PROCEDURES
- Initial assessment will enable students to be advised on to programmes at levels appropriate to their current skills and abilities
- Learners will have individual learning plans which set them clear short term and long term targets for achievement
- Learners will receive feedback which indicates how they can improve their performance
- Stakeholders (parents, employers, sponsors) will receive regular reports on learners achievements
- Each school will examine its achievement data against national and internal benchmarks, incorporate the information into their Self Assessment Report and produce a yearly action plan for improvement
- Schools and the Examinations Section will ensure that students are accurately enrolled for external assessments by the date laid down by the Assessment Authorities
- Subject descriptors will describe the content and skills required for achievement at each level of a programme.
